Posted: 12/23/11 11:49 AM ET

Another year gone by, another chance to look back fondly at the thousands of things we stuffed our faces with in 2011. After much internal debate, we've narrowed it down to just 10 -- the very best new things we shoved in our mouths in 2011.

Montreal's greasiest, gravy-iest contribution to the food world, poutine officially became a trend back in 2010. It got even more amazing this year when chef Kyle Bailey of D.C.'s ChurchKey had the ingenious idea to replace the french fries with tater tots.

Are we supposed to eat this "healthfood" before or after our Beachbody workout?

Some of this stuff just does not look appealing. Dirt? Really?

Ummmmmmmmm - My GF, who is FC, but from Alberta, has been making poutine with Tots for the 10 years we've been together . .

I guess she really IS a trendsetter . .

The only one that really appeals to me is the modified poutine (potatoes, cheese, and gravy ... you cannot EVER go wrong with this combination).

The rest ... bleh. While I applaud exploration, there are limits.

the beet look suprizingy decent.. the tater tots would be my first choice.. i dont need the double fat pastry... im not caring for the "dirt" salad.... i dont like icecream on my burger.. the booze popcycles are fine.. the fois gras? no thankyou its an evil food. the chicken shake sounds gross but would be good for old people with no teeth

I'll take an order of each except the buffalo chicken shake and the booze popsicles. Not fond of buffalo wing sauce and Worcestershire sauce and I've sworn off alchohol.

The "win-win" is always possible.

Yuk! Nothing like seeing pictures that reinforce my continuing New Year's resolution of weight loss. I saw that foie gras donut and I could swear I heard my arteries hardening in response. I suppose to each his own - but still - Yuk!

Does this really concern me? I hate the media and everything they stand for. Report real news and stop feeding us your poison!

The Buffalo Chicken shake is hysterical. It reminds me of when I actually convinced some friends to drink Beer Milkshakes back in the mid 80's. (of course, mine was made with Sprite)
