With all due respect, it's a bit tedious that HuffPost's done such a crappy job with recipes for St. Patrick's day.

There was an article a few days ago that pretended to highlight some Irish recipes and included not a single seafood recipe, even though seafoods have been a staple of the diet for millenia. And the article highlighted mashed potatoes with chives (what the hell???) instead of traditional potato dishes like colcannon or clapshot.

Now today we've got 3 St. Patrick's day entrants and all 3 focus exclusively on alcohol. Drink Irish beer, drink Irish whiskey, put Guiness and whiskey and Bailey's in your damn desserts.

Stereotypical, unimaginative, and unspeakably lazy on the part of everyone involved.

Now why would I be interested in cooking with alcohol.....I don't drink! I just don't understand why EVERYTHING revolves around drinking....it is SO completely unnecessary to anything and if you think it is necessary or important then you have a problem! ...just sayin...
