When you order from Pizza Hut -- or from any chain pizza restaurant, for that matter -- you know what to expect. There's a difference between brick oven goodness and something in the realm of Domino's and Papa John's.
This is not a bad thing; there's a time and a place for delivery pizza, and that time and place is usually at home on the couch in front of the television.
But just because such pizza isn't gourmet doesn't mean it shouldn't be prepared with care. In fact, one of the greatest things about this dinner is that it's dependable: You usually know what you're getting. And yet, there are mishaps. Lately, some dissatisfied diners have taken to Pizza Hut's Facebook to post photos of deliveries that didn't live up to the chain's advertisements. Reps for the company nearly always reply in an effort to remedy the mishaps, so kudos to Pizza Hut for that. Nevertheless, these unfortunate Pizza Hut fails below prove that even if a recipe's been reproduced a trillion times, error is always possible.
Update: A Pizza Hut spokesman responded to The Huffington Post. "We have a world-class training operation and receive many awards for our overall customer satisfaction," he wrote in part, adding, "Our social media response does prove successful Consumers like to know that they're being heard, and we want to be there to help."
