20 Things You Should Never Say To A Male Sexual Assault Survivor

As told by celebrities.

“What kind of a man would let that happen to him?”

“Why didn’t he fight back?”

“That doesn’t happen to guys.”

A new PSA called "No More" highlights a few of the reactions male survivors of sexual assault receive when they come forward with their stories, all of which make it even more difficult and painful to do so.

The video, created by The Joyful Heart Foundation, Viacom and male sexual assault awareness organization 1in6, states that 1 in 6 men are victims of childhood sexual abuse.

Several celebrities including Mary J. Blige, Ice-T, Tim Gunn, Sophia Bush and Christopher Meloni make appearances, revealing common phrases victims hear such as, "It's just a misunderstanding," and, "It's just a women's issue."

Although statistics show that women are more likely to be sexually assaulted, young boys and men are also victims of these devastating crimes -- and they should not be forgotten or forced to hide.
