An Announcement
Not too long ago, I started a series of interviews with leading social experts. Given the level of expertise involved, I knew this project was bound to unearth some interesting insights of course. But even I—the person who did the research and put together the interview questions—was often surprised by the kind of helpful content that was generated. And what took me off guard even more was the reader response. People hit me up on email, on Facebook, on my website. They commented on what they’d learned, told me how certain ideas applied to their lives, suggested topics for future posts, and all around asked for more.
Inspired by Huffington Post readers’ hunger for information about social health, I set out to take these interviews to the next level. To do the world’s leading social experts a little more justice, I decided, I needed to find a platform that could better capture not just their research, but their personalities. After all, it’s far easier for people to relate to a laughing, pontificating flesh-and-blood human than an imagined professor type hidden inside the walls of academia.
A Podcast Is Born
This week, I’m pleased to announce the launch of Truth or Dare, a podcast that—like this Huffington column—boosts your social health.
Each week, I interview leading experts on their biggest, brightest work. This week, we begin with Social Media Historian, Allison Graham. Allison has traveled all over the globe bringing the written word to life on the big screen. She has worked for Artisan Entertainment, Universal Studios, Paramount Pictures, Warner Brothers, New Line Cinema, 20th Century Fox, Miramax and Dreamworks SKG. She was one of the key business strategists behind The Blair Witch Franchise marketing campaigns. And she’s the voice behind a landmark TED talk entitled, "How Social Media Makes Us Unsocial."
