Actor Keo Woolford Of 'Hawaii Five-0' Dead At 49

Woolford died on Monday after suffering a stroke three days earlier.

”Hawaii Five-0” actor Keo Woolford died at a hospital Monday in Oahu, Hawaii, three days after suffering a stroke, his publicist confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter. He was 49.

A native of Honolulu, Hawaii, Woolford was best known for his role as Detective James Chang on the hit CBS show. In addition to his TV work, the actor appeared in the 2014 film “Godzilla” and 2012’s “Act of Valor.” He also earned praise and several film festival awards for his 2013 movie, “The Haumana,” which he wrote, produced and directed.

Woolford also once toured with Hawaiian boy band Brownskin, and appeared in over 300 performances of “The King & I” in London.

“Hawaii Five-0” co-star Daniel Dae Kim took to social media to mourn Woolford’s untimely passing.

A statement confirming Woolford’s death also appeared on the actor’s Facebook page Monday.
