We sat down on an exclusive interview with Adam to learn more about one of the main brains behind it all.
Why was becoming a business owner/Entrepreneur so important to you?
Freedom. Freedom to be my own boss, freedom to be creative, freedom to make a difference. I love solving problems and I feel that entrepreneurship constantly challenges you to solve problems on a daily basis. I love solving problems so much that I became a business consultant so I could solve my client’s problems too!
How did you get your idea and passion for your concept?
I really fell in love with marketing when my father gave me a book – “Dan Kennedy – No B.S. Direct Marketing” when I was 21 years old. I spent the next 10 years studying and putting into practice what I was learning. I felt behind people with a college degree in the beginning but then I started beating them hands down with my campaigns so I quickly realized prolific self-education and implementation was my secret weapon. I currently specialize in helping people with knowledge, wisdom and expertise (coaches and consultants) to get their message out there and attract more perfect clients without working harder.
What's one of the biggest lesson learned so far as a startup?
Hire GREAT people and know your numbers. No matter how good you are – you can only do so much so having great people around you including your staff and mentors is essential to grow quickly. Knowing your numbers is essential if you are to make real business decisions – this includes knowing financial numbers and also all the sales and marketing KPIs. We got ranked on the Inc.5000 list by having great people and systems to allow us to leverage our time and expertise and knowing exactly where we were with our numbers on a daily basis.
