Cat Who Looks Like Adam Driver Gets Adopted, Thanks To Viral Fame

Proof that it's OK to share cat photos online.

Remember that cat who went viral for bearing an eerie likeness to "Girls" and "Star Wars" star Adam Driver?

Well, here's an example of when sharing cat photos online is actually a great thing: The feline found a new home shortly after gaining e-fame!

Twitter user Marci Robin posted a photo of the shelter cat named Corey, noting that his quirky ears and piercing stare resembled Driver's. The Internet agreed, and, unsurprisingly, cat lovers everywhere were eager to pounce on the opportunity to adopt the adorable kitty.

Emily McCombs, executive editor at Elite Daily and a friend of Robin's, beat out all the other feline fangirls and got the chance to take little Corey home.

She penned a harrowing tale of her hasty odyssey from Brooklyn to the Monmouth County SPCA in New Jersey to fetch the famous feline before someone else claimed him.

"I didn’t adopt Corey because he was going viral on the Internet," she wrote, "I adopted him because I loved him."

Shortly thereafter, she registered the Instagram handle "catam_driver," and renamed the kitty Kylo Ren, after Driver's "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" character. She's currently hoping the actor will reach out for a photo opp with his doppelgänger.

"I love Kylo for so much more than his Internet fame," McComb wrote, "But give the people what they want, right?"

Right. We're so happy little Kylo has a new home!
