It’s a British invasion!

Adele is rumored to be in talks to headline the 2017 Super Bowl Halftime Show, and we couldn’t be more excited to see her rolling in the green of the football field. Who else better than Adele to follow in the footsteps of Beyoncé’s incredible performance this year (sure, Coldplay was the actual headliner, but Bey and Bruno Mars definitely stole the show).

A rep for the “Hello” singer told The Huffington Post they had “no comment.” But according to The Sun, a source from the NFL allegedly told the tabloid, “There is nobody bigger in the world than Adele right now and organizers are doing absolutely everything they can to try to persuade her to sign up. She’s sold out every date on her tour, everyone wants a piece of her and they know they can bank on her bringing in the viewers.”

The source added that Adele’s nerves were “the issue,” which makes sense since the singer is very open about her intense stage fright. And considering nearly 111.9 million people tuned in to 2016’s game, the gig does seem rather scary.

Although the NFL and Adele’s team will most likely try to keep 2017’s Super Bowl performer a secret for as long as possible, info always leaks early (like Bey’s “top secret” surprise performance in February).

Stay tuned!

The Huffington Post reached out to the NFL for a comment and will update this post accordingly.
