All The Times Trump Definitely Did Not 'Respect Women' During The Debate

Sexism overload.

Donald Trump’s expansive vocabulary was on full display Wednesday night (i.e. “bigly” and “ombres”), but we’re not certain he fully understands the meaning of the word “respect.”

Towards the beginning of Wednesday night’s presidential debate the Republican nominee denied the multiple allegations that he’s sexually harassed and assaulted women, and then quickly added: “Nobody has more respect for women than I do. Nobody.”

Illustrating how absurd Trump’s statement really was given his history, the crowd ― who had been advised to stay quiet throughout the debate ― broke out into hushed laughter.

Throughout the 90-minute debate, Trump repeatedly proved how little he really does respect women. After denying the sexual assault allegations against him, Trump accused the women coming forward with these claims that they were doing so only for the fame and fortune. (And we all know there aren’t many perks in accusing a man like Trump of sexual assault.)

He also said that he didn’t even apologize to his wife, Melania, after any of these allegations came out. “I didn’t even apologize to my wife, who’s sitting right here, because I didn’t do anything,” he said.

To top off Trump’s catastrophic performance, he interrupted Clinton while she was discussing health care to mutter into the microphone “such a nasty woman.”

You know what a “nasty woman” is damn good at, Mr. Trump? Voting.

Editor’s note: Donald Trump regularly incites political violence and is a serial liar, rampant xenophobe, racist, misogynist and birther who has repeatedly pledged to ban all Muslims — 1.6 billion members of an entire religion — from entering the U.S.
