60-Year-Old Warriors Coach Alvin Gentry Dunks His Own Way To Bring The House Down

A slam for the ages.

At age 60, Golden State Warriors associate head coach Alvin Gentry can still play above the rim with a little help.

In a light moment during Monday's practice before Golden State plays Cleveland in Game 6 of the NBA Finals on Tuesday, Gentry made a lame first attempt to dunk. But on a second try, the former Appalachian State point guard turned back the clock, climbed the gym wall and threw one down.

Gentry, recently hired as head coach of the New Orleans Pelicans, is old enough to be a grandfather to some of you, so let the man enjoy his slam even if his skywalking method is bending the rules a bit.
