When gearing up to watch the requisite red carpet interviews that happen before any major awards show, one expects to hear lady celebs asked one question over and over and over again: “Who are you wearing?”
The answers usually range from Calvin Klein to Alexander McQueen ― informative, but not particularly entertaining. But on this year’s Emmys red carpet, Amy Schumer mixed things up a bit.
When E!’s Giuliana Rancic asked Schumer who she was wearing, the comedian not only gave a shout-out to the designer of her dress and her shoes, but also her tampon.
Twitter responded joyfully to the disclosure.
People pointed out that not only did Schumer poke another tiny hole in the menstruation taboo ― Periods happen! Even during awards shows! ― but also she repped (applicator-free, environmentally-friendly) o.b. tampons, which often don’t get much public love.
