Annette Bening As Kristen Wiig's Mom In 'Imogen'

Annette Bening: Kristen Wiig's Mom!

When Kristen Wiig goes looking for lady co-stars, well, Hollywood now knows to listen.

Wiig, she of wild "Bridesmaids" success this spring, is now starring in and producing the dark comedy, "Imogen," a passion project she's been championing for at least two years. Starring as a New York playwright who fakes a suicide attempt to get her ex back, Wiig's character ends up living with her gambling addict mother.

Enter Bening, Annette.

Deadline reports that Bening will star as that degenerate mother, creating a tag team out of an indie studio's dreams. Bening earlier this year earned an Academy Award nomination for her role in "The Kids Are All Right," and is currently co-starring with Deborah Ann Woll, Paul Dano, Antonio Banderas and Steve Coogan in the in-production romcom, "He Loves Me."

She's also due to star in "Hemingway & Fuentes," in which Anthony Hopkins will play Ernest Hemingway.
