Ariana Grande Was Reminded To Not Lick Any Donuts At The VMAs

MTV wanted to give Ariana Grande a friendly reminder to stay away from the baked goods Sunday night.

While on the red carpet, Charlamagne Tha God spoke with Grande, who is nominated for five VMAs and is performing at the show Sunday night at Madison Square Garden. He didn’t pass up the opportunity to remind Grande of her 2015 donut-licking incident.

“Listen, you can’t go around licking no pastries tonight,” he said.

“All right, I’ll take notes,” she said. “I’ll keep it in mind.”

For those who might not remember, the 23-year-old singer was caught on security footage licking donuts she did not buy at a Wolfee Donuts in Lake Elsinore, California, before declaring “I hate America.”

She later apologized, saying she loves her country but sometimes gets upset by the food industry and “how freely we as Americans eat and consume things.”
