Arianna Applauds Lindsey Graham For Rejecting Donald Trump

HuffPost Editor-in-Chief Arianna Huffington on Friday praised Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) for not supporting presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

Graham, who quit the GOP presidential campaign in December, said during an interview on CNN that he would vote for neither Trump nor Democrat Hillary Clinton for president in the general election.

Arianna, during a separate interview on CNN, lauded Graham. "I think this is really in the best interest of the Republican Party, what he is doing," she said.

"Nobody can say that Donald Trump has the judgment and the temperament to be president. … Nobody in good conscience can really say that this is the right man to have his finger close the nuclear button," Arianna continued.

"We see it as our responsibility to remind voters every day who Donald Trump really is so that they stop treating him as an entertaining figure and treat him like the clear danger he would be to this country," Arianna said.

"Anything [Lindsey Graham] can do to save his own party from the catastrophe that having Donald Trump as the president would mean both for the party and the country is great. Good for Lindsey Graham."
