Artists need space. Artists need studios. Artists usually can't afford either of the aforementioned in London, so out comes the community-based social welfare aspect of UK society the Village Underground.

A collection of old tube cars, decked out in some pretty respectable graffiti, these studio spaces sit atop a warehouse and give artists the room they need to create their work at prices they can afford. The warehouse these studios sit atop of, also serve as a venue where DJ's come to spin and edgy, young talent come to perform, making it a one-stop shop for all things creative in London. -- Rebecca Suhrawardi Austin
