She sure knows how to make an entrance.

Prudence, an English bulldog from Des Moines, Iowa, wore a tutu and diamond necklace during the 38th Beautiful Bulldog Contest at Drake University on Sunday and emerged the winner.

Bravo, Prudence!

The 2-year-old bulldog beat out 38 entrants from 10 states before 1,200 spectators at Drake’s Knapp Center and thousands more online, the university reported. She will now be the official mascot of this week’s Drake Relays at the Des Moines school.

“Overall, she’s just gorgeous,” one of the judges, Drake athletics director Sandy Hatfield Clubb, said in a news release. “She’s spunky and beautiful with a fun personality, and you can tell she has a great relationship with her owners [Angela and Tom Miller].”

And she looks stunning with her new crown.
