Could you be the culprit in your own puffy eye tragedy? Watch as The Doctors reveal three beauty mistakes that make your eyes look tired.

1. Applying eye cream right on your bags.

"How many people put some eye cream on at night to try and prevent those bags or under-eye puffiness in the morning?" asks Dr. Jennifer Ashton, co-host of The Doctors. "Actually, a lot of people might be putting it on incorrectly," she explains as she demonstrates the proper way to apply eye cream in the video above.

"When you sleep, the eye cream can migrate down and up into the eye and do more harm than good. You want to put it on just on the brow bone, not the lid ... and right on the cheekbone about an inch below the eye."

2. Using pointer finger to apply eye cream.

"Keep in mind, this is a very delicate part of your face, so you just want to dab with your pinky," says Dr. Rachael Ross, explaining that the pointer finger can be too forceful. "Less is more," she adds, cautioning that just a little eye cream is ideal.

3. Paying too much for eye serum.

"They're so tempting, because we think, 'It's serum, it's going to do great stuff for our eyes.' You actually don't need to spend a lot of money," says Dr. Ashton. "You can use some almond oil and some aloe vera, about a one to one ratio."
