Don’t set another goal until you do this...

Everyone is talking about goals. They say, "You need to set a goal if you want to change your life...Believe in yourself, give it everything you have, wake up, take action every day, and change your life."

You hear this all the time, right? Those are the messages that you're being bombarded with. So you take the gurus advice and you set your your goal. You work towards it, and fall short. Maybe you even make a little progress, but soon find yourself right back where you started.

I want to ask you a question. Why does this continuously happen in your life?

Here’s what I believe,,. While setting goals is definitely important, there is one fundamental flaw that no one is talking about. The starting point...So many people set goals, but they don't first identify where they're starting. Think about this, awareness precedes change. Before you can change anything about your life, your body, your relationships, or your finances, you first have to be aware of exactly where you are now.

Think of it like this, when you go into your iPhone, click the GPS app to find your way to a new destination, the first thing it asks is what is your starting point? Next, it asks where are you looking to go? Once these two key pieces of information are entered, it then calibrates exactly what you need to do to in order to reach that destination.

You have to do the same thing in your life. Before you set another goal to lose weight, figure out the limiting thoughts and the beliefs that you have about losing weight that have held you back from losing weight before. This also applies in your relationships and finances. What beliefs, thoughts, and habits have kept you from achieving the results you’re desire so much?

Once you become aware of these answers, you now have a great starting point that will allow you to take the necessary path which will ultimately lead you to your desired destination. Ultimately what I'm asking you to do is to perform an internal audit if your life.

This is one of the hardest things to do because for most people. It’s frightening to be real with yourself about where you are in your life. It may hurt a little, you may be scared, but once you do that, and you get clear on exactly where you're starting from, you'll never have another problem achieving and keeping the results that you want in your life.
