Ben Carson Raised $10 Million In October

That's more than some of his rivals have raised in three months.

Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson announced Sunday his campaign had raised $10 million in the month of October.

For comparison, in September, Carson raised $12 million.

The famed neurosurgeon shattered GOP fundraising records in September after he pulled in a massive $20 million haul over three months, due in large part to a high number of small donors. The October total alone dwarfs money raised by his rivals for the nomination for the entire third fundraising quarter.

Carson recently overtook Donald Trump in the key early caucus state of Iowa. Nationally, however, he trails the businessman by 8 percentage points, according to the HuffPost Pollster.
