Blake Shelton Comforts Injured Motorcyclist Who Missed His Concert

"He is an amazing man with a huge heart!"

Blake Shelton is no doctor, but he just made a seriously injured fan feel a lot better.

The country star reached out last week to fan Jonathan Daniels on Facebook after Daniels wrote about a motorcycle accident that made him miss a Shelton concert ― and nearly took his life.

In a video dated Dec. 8, a concerned Shelton offered Daniels tickets and some heartfelt advice. “I hope you recover soon,” he said. “Don’t rush, for God’s sake. Take your time getting well.”

Shelton said he wanted to meet with Daniels and his girlfriend, Lindsay Baker, whenever they’re ready.

“He is an amazing man with a huge heart!” Daniels wrote after seeing the video.

Daniels, 25, of Peekskill, New York, had purchased tickets to Shelton’s Oct. 8 gig in Brooklyn for Baker’s 23rd birthday. In a Facebook post last month, Daniels described how those plans got derailed while riding his motorcycle in September. He says someone pulled in front of him, causing him to bounce off a car and slam into a telephone pole. The impact resulted in “2 collapsed lungs, 1 punctured lung, brain bleeding, a lacerated liver, kidney, and spleen. I also fractured 3 ribs 8 vertebrae in my neck and back, and also fractured both shoulder blades.”

Daniels is still recovering while Baker assists him with daily tasks. “I was just hoping maybe you would see this letter and help me give her the birthday present she deserves,” Daniels wrote in the post, addressing Shelton. “All she wants is to see you in concert. It would just make her day and make her smile which is all I want to do!! Hopefully this letter makes it to Blake Shelton somehow.”

Scores of social media users alerted the singer to Daniels’ plea. In his response, the country single also wished the couple a Merry Christmas and reminded Daniels of the obvious: “Motorcycles are very dangerous!”
