In the wake of the Monday arrest of Manhattan bombing suspect Ahmad Khan Rahami, locals opened up about a restaurant the Rahami family owns in New Jersey.
The restaurant, First American Fried Chicken, is well-known in Elizabeth, New Jersey, for its loud, late-night crowds.
However, two men who frequented the restaurant came out to sing the praises of the spot ― particularly the “cheese fries and friendly service.”
One man, a rapper whose name is Orlando, according to the New York Times, is part of a group called Party of 5ive.
“Those fries will feed me you best believe me / I miss showing up late,” he croons. “Chicken Shack made me feel good today.”
The other man in the video, Flee Jones, helped write the rap and said the Rahamis were hospitable, letting him host rap battles at the restaurant with his friends.
Another regular at the restaurant, Ryan McCann, told NJ.com that he “would have never suspected this,” calling Rahami “a friendly guy” who liked to talk about cars and would occasionally give him free chicken.
Rahami is currently in custody and New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio said that authorities are not looking for any other suspects at the moment.
