Brad Sherman Re-Elected In California House Race

Rep. Brad Sherman (D-Calif.) was re-elected Tuesday to represent California's 30th District.

Sherman was first elected to the House in 1996. Prior to his congressional career, Sherman worked as an attorney at a CPA firm. In 2012, he faced an ugly re-election battle against fellow Democrat Howard Berman in California's first open primary election cycle.

Mark Reed, a Los Angeles Republican, challenged Sherman in this year's contest. He also ran for the seat in 2012.
