Bull Takes Revenge On President Of Bullfighting Club

The bull leapt over a wooden barrier and gored the man, along with a photographer seated next to him.

A bull got a small taste of revenge Sunday when he leapt out of the ring during a bullfight and gored the president of a local bullfighting club.

Dominique Perron suffered a fractured leg and a dislocated ankle after the bull sprang over a wooden barrier at the Bayonne Festival in southwest France, French newspaper Sud Ouest reported.

Perron is the head of a local chapter of the Paul Ricard Bullfighting Association.

The bull also gored photographer Roger Martin, who was sitting next to Perron, in the testicles, according to the Daily Mail.

Euro Weekly News reported that the bull "was put down after the incident."

Bullfighting -- which involves humans repeatedly stabbing bulls with swords -- is banned in most of France, though some municipalities have exceptions that permit the sport.
