YouTube star Caleb Logan Bratayley died from a rare, undiagnosed heart condition called hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, his family confirmed on Tuesday.
In an Instagram post, the teen's mother explained that the condition went unnoticed for years, because Caleb never showed any symptoms. According to their doctors, there was "nothing we could have done differently." The post also notes that Caleb's sisters have had their hearts checked out and both seem to be in the clear.

Caleb died unexpectedly in October at the age of 13.
After sharing the sad news with their many followers, his family shared a touching video tribute on their YouTube channel called, "Caleb, Gone But Never Forgotten."
