Chance The Rapper Leads Chicago Residents In A 'Parade To The Polls'

He's doing his part to make sure people cast their votes.

Chance the Rapper hosted a “parade to the polls” in Chicago on Monday to help get out the vote.

The Chi-town native led the march, which began at 6 p.m. EST and ended at an early voting “super site” where voters took advantage of more than 100 touch-screen voting booths. The march took place immediately following a free block party that was put together by the rapper’s non-profit organization and featured performances by artists Twin Peaks, his brother Taylor Bennett, rapper Malcolm London and a few special guests.

This isn’t the first time the “Coloring Book” rapper has gotten involved with politics. Earlier this year, he teamed up with the NAACP for its #StayWokeAndVote campaign. He also performed at a Hillary Clinton rally in Cleveland on Friday ― alongside superstars Beyoncé, Jay Z, Big Sean and J. Cole ― in hopes of engaging black and hispanic millennial voters.

The Huffington Post’s Jacques Morel reported live from the parade in Chicago on Tuesday and streamed the event to the Black Voices’ Facebook page.
