Saturday Night Live has the "five timers club," for those celebrities who have hosted the show, you guessed it, five times or more, and thus are unofficially part of the Lorne Michaels family. You can almost certainly guess the charter members: Steve Martin, Tom Hanks, Alec Baldwin, Candice Bergen, and perhaps even Betty White if she maintains her game.

Well, Hamptons Magazine has its own set of loyal regulars - none more so than Beth Stern, who celebrated her sixth (count 'em!) magazine cover, as well as the launch of her book Oh My Dog, at an intimate dinner last Friday at Savannas. Niche Media CEO/founder Jason Binn, editor in chief Samantha Yanks, and publisher Debra Halpert greeted Hamptons social and media staples Howard Stern, Katie Lee, Rosanna Scotto, Andrew Saffir, Daniel Benedict, Kelly Bensimon, as well as other Rhony's Jill Zarin and Ramona Singer, who toasted the Hamptons darling with specialty libations courtesy of Grey Goose. Mrs. Stern herself made quite the entrance, in a salmon and canary yellow Herve Leger, complete with an exquisite necklace of thinly cut Geods by Kimberly McDonald, the featured designer of London Jewelers.

For those who did not get to sport McDonald's jewels for the evening, there was much to admire in her special display booth, located adjacent to the Grey Goose bar because... why not? After some prolonged mingling on Savanna's cozy patio, guests slowly but surely made their way to their respective tables, where we were treated to the restaurant's revamped, delicious menu, courtesy of Tony Fortuna (who may be the most gracious restaurant owner/host ever), and the chefs and team behind New York's T-Bar. On the menu that evening: homemade burrata, tiger shrimp, steak frites, and branzino. Jason, Samantha, and Debra quieted the crowd down for a brief but heartfelt toast to McDonald and Stern, whom they warmly embraced as "part of [their] family." Dinner was then served just as the sun was setting, which could not have made for a more picture-perfect, relaxing, balmy summer evening. An ideal way to kick-off the weekend, Hamptons style.
