Google Chromecast Prank Promises New Era Of Streaming For Squirrels

It's a bright new day for fans of the Google Chromecast streaming device. Even the squirrels!

Chromecast launched a video March 31, promising a "new era of squirrel entertainment," narrated by a British accent so cartoonish, the word "squirrels" ends up being pronounced more like "squiddels."

That's not the only laugh in this April Fools' Day video. You don't have to live in a tree to "go nuts" for a soccer team named "Nutcastle Gnawich." And the Rick Astley-esque performance by one diva rodent proves that squirrels have got talent too, America!

Google Chromecast, of course, is no joke. The $35 streaming device plugs into a television HDMI port, allowing viewers to send and control online music, videos and media to their TV screens from their smartphones or laptops.

Watch the video, and witness these glorious squirrels being heroes... for just one day.
