The New York Daily News is not amused with the people of New Hampshire.
Following business mogul Donald Trump's double-digit win in the state's primary, the brash media outlet announced that its cover on Wednesday would depict a clown-faced image of the GOP front-runner alongside a sharp jab at the voters who've gotten him this far.
"Clown comes back to life with N.H. win as mindless zombies turn out in droves," the cover reads, underneath the headline "Dawn of the brain dead." The Daily News has called Trump a clown -- among other things -- on its cover several times.
Trump's success reflects an ongoing rift in the Republican Party, which has sought to distance itself from the often racist, sexist and patently false comments he has made during his bro-filled campaign.

The message from New Hampshire was clear: Voters fed up with Democrats and Republicans alike desire a politically incorrect outsider, one not beholden to special interests or rich donors, one who can actually break the perpetual gridlock in Washington.
And those voters have apparently been listening to Trump's talking points in earnest. An NBC exit poll in New Hampshire found 66 percent of GOP primary voters supported a ban on Muslims entering the U.S. -- an indefensibly horrible, Islamophobic idea.
