Dan Froomkin appeared on MSNBC Wednesday afternoon to discuss his latest article, "7 Things About The Economy Everyone Should Be Worried About."

In his interview, Froomkin outlined a few of the most important worries:

1. "The middle-class may never be the same again." According to Froomkin, the recession has been "devastating" to middle-class Americans whose livelihoods were largely reliant on their 401k and their homes. Furthermore, for the last 30 years, most of the nation's GDP growth has gone to the wealthiest Americans, a trend that remains largely unaddressed in -- and would not likely be changed by -- current economic proposals.

2. "Economic recovery could take a really long time." Until this recovery comes about, unemployment will continue to be high, and continue to take its toll on middle and lower class Americans.

3. "The hugely irresponsible financial sector remains unchastened." Banks haven't changed their behavior and are actually now bigger than ever. Without restrictions, this allows behavior that could lead to repeated reckless financial mismanagement.
