'Dateline' Sees Ratings Bump In Q2

NBC's scripted shows may have ratings problems, but the network's news division continues to deliver strong ratings.

The latest example: newsmagazine "Dateline."

In the second quarter of 2010, "Dateline Friday" saw a ratings boost, averaging 5.847 million total viewers and outpacing all of its rivals.

The total viewer count represents a 4% increase from the same period in 2009.

By contrast, CBS' "48 Hours Mystery" averaged 5.510 million total viewers, and ABC's "20/20" averaged 4.983 million total viewers.
