Selena Gomez is ridiculously famous. Like, 74.6 million followers on Instagram famous. But somehow, that's not famous enough to be recognized by Diddy.

In her latest interview with GQ, the "Good For You" singer shared an anecdote about that one time the Sean John founder confused her for a valet woman. It's all part of the weirdness that comes along with being a celebrity.

Gomez started her story by describing fame as "when you’re around four people and everybody has the champagne glass, and somebody says something and they laugh but they didn’t say a joke," then added, "Or when P. Diddy gave me his valet ticket once."

"Do you know what I mean?" she quipped to writer Zach Baron, who, being a non-celebrity, admittedly did not know what she meant.

"Because he thought I was the valet lady,” Gomez said.

"What?!" Baron replied, to which the "Spring Breakers" star just said a simple "Yeah."

But Gomez took no offense to Diddy's confusion. Instead, she thought it was hilarious.

"Look, I see all of it. I don’t care — I actually laughed hysterically when it happened. But I get it," she said. "I know what all of it is."
