Amped Dog Loves His Toy More Than We Will Ever Love Anything In Life

Don’t stop retrieving. Hold on to that feeling.

Man’s best friend has found a new BFF.

A viral video shows a rescue dog named Buddy getting so excited about the prospect of a ball being thrown that he has to dance.

The video of Buddy using a ball-throwing machine called GoDogGo was posted on Facebook on June 7, and has since been viewed over 72 million times and has over 1.3 million shares.

"Once he learned how to actually play with it and use it himself, he just became very excited by it," Buddy’s human, Rennie Berchard, told ABC News. "He's just thrilled that he can do it on his own, and I think that's the overall excitement for him. But he loves the anticipation."

Berchard did receive some criticism from commenters for buying Buddy the machine, all of which “Buddy” responded to within the comments of the post.

Some blasted Berchard because they felt she should be throwing a ball for Buddy, rather than a machine:

Others were worried that the machine was Buddy’s sole source of exercise:

And, despite someone obviously being present to film the video, some people feared that Buddy was using the machine by himself without any supervision:

Yet, most commenters thought the video — and the ball-throwing gizmo — was pretty paw-some.

The video also highlights the joy that a rescue dog can bring into your life.

If you’re interested in adopting a pup like Buddy, the Humane Society has a list of places you can adopt by state.
