Grandpa Loses His Teeth, Gains Viral Fame

Chew on this: A video showing a grandfather’s dentures falling out of his mouth has gone viral.

The video posted on Christmas Day by Amy Metcalf Taylor shows her 88-year-old grandfather, Don Briggs, from Hamilton, Ohio, playing a game called Speak Out with the family.

The game requires players to say phrases while wearing a mouthpiece that prevents them from closing their mouths.

The trouble for Briggs began when he put the mouthpiece in backwards.

“He was saying his card, and we all saw his teeth starting to come loose,” Taylor told local TV station KTRK. “We all started screaming. He made a face at my daughter, and out they came on the floor.”

The video has since been viewed more than 28 million times, according to Taylor’s Facebook page.

That is blowing Briggs’ mind according to his granddaughter. She says he was shocked when the video reached 100 views.

“Poppy said, ‘OMG. People want to see my teeth fly out?’” she told KTRK TV.
