President Donald Trump accused media outlets on Tuesday morning of incorrectly reporting that he can’t find a replacement for John Kelly as White House chief of staff.
Fake News has it purposely wrong. Many, over ten, are vying for and wanting the White House Chief of Staff position. Why wouldn’t someone want one of the truly great and meaningful jobs in Washington. Please report news correctly. Thank you!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) December 11, 2018
“Fake News has it purposely wrong,” Trump wrote, adding that more than 10 people were actually “vying for and wanting” the position.
However, Twitter users tittered at the phrasing of his tweet, which they said appeared to suggest that many of the applicants were over 10 years old:
give the job to a nine-year-old you cowards https://t.co/b5jZ9loeRH
— Matthew Champion (@matthewchampion) December 11, 2018
I'm glad you're only considering people over ten for the job.
— Nate Bell (@NateBell4AR) December 11, 2018
At least they should be more mature than you.
Oh why rule out the under tens? Am sure they’d do a great job 👍
— Sheila O'Flanagan (@sheilaoflanagan) December 11, 2018
Okay, so they're all over 10 years old. Now name them.
— o'neill (@johnoneillnyc) December 11, 2018
Too bad my son is 8 years old.that job is perfect for him😩😩😩
— Iaminthemodz (@iaminthemodz) December 11, 2018
Not legally able to work yet at 10 yrs old. Maybe try a different pool of candidates.
— Hand Me My Armor (@IamKarenDe) December 11, 2018
Out of luck, 9-year olds!
— Allan (@AllanRicharz) December 11, 2018
"Many, over ten"
— James Michael Sama (@JamesMSama) December 11, 2018
In other words, lots of 11 and 12 year olds want this job. We are in the clear!
When you say; “over ten,” I assume you mean age.
— J Roller (@gammajeff) December 11, 2018
On first read I seriously thought this was a parody account and he was interviewing 10+ year olds for the CoS position....long morning, stuck in a Dallas airport on a layover.
— Hank the Tank🇺🇸 (@Corsair502) December 11, 2018
So you have candidates, under 10, vying for this position? Sounds like a good fit.

I'm glad you're only considering people over ten for the job.

Over ten? Do you mean over ten years old? Yeah, you probably do. pic.twitter.com/AByN155S2Q

Oh wow, you've got tweens fighting tobrun your staff. Impressive.

“many, over ten”
— Jason Bailey (@jasondashbailey) December 11, 2018
I’m dead you guys https://t.co/aXERSDSD8O
It also hard to tell if he means "over ten" like an age cutoff. Like, he'll take a precocious 12 year old. pic.twitter.com/ONjIjex2sw
— BiblioKlu (@biblioklu) December 11, 2018
"Many, over ten..." Genuinely read this as many people over ten years old 🙄 https://t.co/o6cxnriOz5
— Hope Dellon (@hopedellon) December 11, 2018
By the way... "over ten"? Don't they have to be at least 18 to work there?
— Leo (@Maquissar) December 11, 2018
Lemme guess: Tomi Lahren, Ted Nugent, Sean Hannity, Jacob Wohl, Scott Baio, Roseanne, and Jon Voight. #OnlyTheBestPeople
— Gina Bradbury (@screaminggina) December 11, 2018
Is Scott Free one of them?
— Leyland's Lung (@LeylandsLung) December 11, 2018
Ten? Let me guess? Jared, Ivanka, Kellyanne, Baron, Scott Pruitt, Don Jr., Eric, Sean Hannity, Jean Pirro and Dinesh D'Souza.

Am I right?
