After 64 days on the market, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush's Coral Gables home has sold for $775,000.

Bush purchased the historic 2,621-square-foot home at 629 Altara Avenue in 2008 for $800,000, joining the Italian Village community planned by Gables founding father George Merrick in the 1920s. In fact, the property, originally listed for $899,000, was a stop on the Italian Village Wine walk in February as one of the area's most notable homes.

The romantic pad was built in 1928 -- check out other Miami homes from the era -- with a warm coral exterior and clean white and cream colors inside. Lani Kahn Drody, broker and president of Lowell International Realty, described the house as an updated, “charming old world home." With two stories, three bedrooms and three bathrooms, the cozy place also boasts a coral rock fireplace, Chicago brick in the courtyards, and a guest house for visitors to sunny Miami.

The Bushes have opted to stay in Coral Gables, paying $1.3 million in August for a 3,485-square-foot townhouse in the posh Almeria Row development, which has won numerous architectural awards.
