'Game Of Thrones' Is The Most Pirated TV Show Of The Year, Again

"Watch 'Game of Thrones' free online," was presumably a popular search this year.

The life of a pirate is traditionally full of untimely death, and 2015 was no exception. For the fourth year in a row, Internet pirates looted streams of the show where everybody dies, "Game of Thrones."

The HBO series' most popular character, Jon Snow, may or may not have had something happen to him that may or may not have been reversed given the show's recent marketing campaign, but tons of presumably peg-legged and eyepatch-wearing Internet users sure wanted to find out.

TorrentFreak, a piracy tracking site, reported at least 14.4 million downloads of the show's season finale alone occurred on BitTorrent, presumably with users shouting "Argh!," while hitting the download button.

"Game of Thrones," which is often essentially porn, presumably appealed to pirates due to all the booty.

The most pirated movie of 2015 was sort of surprising. Can you guess it?

Too late, it was 2014's middling-reviewed and confusingly-plotted "Interstellar." This may be more baffling than the movie itself, but apparently pirates downloaded Christopher Nolan's movie 46,762,310 times.

Maybe the pirates thought the starring actor's name, Matthew McConaughey, was pronounced Matthew McCon-Ahoy!
