Gatorade Spec Ad - An Emotional Mother's Day Tribute

There are a lot of different ways to show your appreciation on Mother’s Day. Independent film director, Robert Nyerges seems to have set the bar pretty high by releasing a special tribute project honoring the life of his mother.

The unofficial Gatorade commercial provides a very real and often ignored perspective on Mother’s Day.

Nearly ten years ago Nyerges’s mother, Helena Strauch passed away after a long struggle with pulmonary hypertension. Robert hopes that this film will be a representation of strength of the human spirit and will offer some encouragement to those who have also suffered the loss of a loved one. Nyerge’s said, “For those fortunate enough to still have their mother, today is a great opportunity to call them and tell them they’re appreciated.”
