George R.R. Martin Had A 'Game Of Thrones'-Style Death In 'Sharknado 3'

"Sharknado 3" just had a Red Wedding for George R.R. Martin.

"Sharknado 3" has finally proven all men must die.

In a cameo that took all the Seven Kingdoms by storm, "Game of Thrones" author George R.R. Martin showed up in Syfy's latest "Sharknado" only to be brutally eaten by a shark almost immediately. And the best part, it was full of "GoT" references.

Martin was watching a movie showing a shark with three heads, kind of like the "dragon has three heads" prophecy in Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series. Martin gets decapitated, kind of like Ned Stark's death on the show. Oh, and he's sitting next to someone in a wedding gown.

That's right. "Sharknado 3" literally had a Red Wedding for Martin.

During a recent interview, "Sharknado" writer Thunder Levin told The Huffington Post he was a big fan of "Game of Thrones" and even threw out the idea of a "DragonNado" possibly showing up in future movies.

From the brutal nature of Martin's death in the film, it's probably safe to say Levin felt the same as other "Game of Thrones" fans about that last Season 5 finale scene.

Payback's a fish, George R.R. Martin.
