Little Girl Tries To Impersonate Her Father, With Mixed (But Adorable) Results

Someone's daughter was keen to prise information out of her parents, leading to what is surely the cutest phishing scam in all of history:

"Dear Wife what Did you get Lily for a suprise again. I forgot," the note reads. "Love: Don."

It's totally what a parent would do, right?

The photo comes by way of Imgur user FunkyFunkyJones, who says Lily's father, a friend of his, posted the note on Facebook. In a comment on his own Imgur post, FFJ says that Reddit user Endless Lazer spotted the photo, and the rest is history.

"Seems legit," FunkyFunkyJones wrote of the pic.

Not much else is known about the heartwarming message. It's unclear exactly where or when it was written, how old Lily is, or whether the note is even genuine.

It has, however, prompted a flurry of replies from other Redditors imagining what "Wife" might write in the allotted space:
