Japanese Band, The Happening Girls, Wants To Marry Fans While Wearing Bikinis

Music Group Wants Bikini Weddings With Fans

Japanese pop music idols are usually forbidden by their managers to date or marry, lest they disappoint their fans. But one J-Pop band called the Happening Girls is changing the game.

The four members are planning to date and, possibly, marry their fans while wearing bikinis.

The Tokyo-based quartet, known for wearing two-piece bathing suits in public, has just started a reality show on Kandou TV where fans audition to be a potential partner for one of the Happening Girls.

"We are positively encouraging our fans to meet and date the girls," show spokesman Teruki Aoki said according to the Daily Mail. "How they get on and how far they go is up to them. But they're contracted to let us into their private life and share in their relationship.

The current line-up is made up of Manaka, 20, Saaya 22, Kaori, 26, and 25-year-old Eri. Other women, however, will take their turn as bikini-wearing band members as the show moves forward, the Express reports.

Ads for potential new Happening Girls are currently appearing in the Japanese press and stipulate that applicants should be between ages 17 and 30, live in Tokyo and, most important, have no objections to wearing bikinis in public at all times, Orange News reports.
