Hillary Clinton Visited The Set Of 'Scandal' And Is Officially A Gladiator

Apparently Mellie Grant was busy running for president too.

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the Democratic presidential front-runner, visited the set of ABC’s hit drama “Scandal” on Monday.

Clinton was in Los Angeles for a fundraising trip and met with political fixer and fellow gladiator-in-a-suit Kerry Washington, who plays Olivia Pope on the primetime show.

A good friend came by set today. Proud to say... #imwithher

Cast members Darby Stanchfield, Scott Foley and Tony Goldwyn shared their excitement with photos on social media.

So, this happened while I was directing tonight. No big deal. #imwithher

But, ironically, we haven't seen any pictures of Clinton with actress Bellamy Young, who plays Mellie Grant. Her character practically parallels Clinton's life: Grant is the former-first-lady-turned-senator who is gearing up to start her own presidential campaign.

Back in January, Clinton hung out with Goldwyn, who plays President Fitzgerald Grant III, on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”
