Your Phone Is A Bacteria Breeding Ground. Here's How To Clean It.

Yep, it's germier than a toilet seat. 💩

Maybe you've heard that your cell phone screen is dirtier than a toilet seat. Maybe you've decided that ignorance is bliss.

The truth of the matter is that the screens on our devices often do contain more bacteria than the porcelain throne, according to at least a few studies. These germs can include dangerous, illness-inducing bacterial strains like E. coli and Staphylococcus aureus.

If you're wondering what can be done to put a stop to the crappy situation, you should definitely quit the popular habit of bringing your phone to the bathroom. But you might also take advice from the folks behind Whoosh, a cleaning product that popped up at this year's Consumer Electronics Show, who say you should wipe your screen with an alcohol-free antimicrobial spray and a soft cloth.

Disinfecting the device a few times a day this way can prevent the grossness from lingering and transferring to you. And don't forget to remove the phone from its case every now and again: You can rub an unused toothbrush along the crevices of your device to remove particles of debris, CNet advises. Learn more tips the video above. Stay clean, friends.
