Hugh Jackman Says Goodbye To His Wolverine Chops Once And For All

Hugh Jackman and Wolverine are breaking up, and, by the looks of things, it doesn’t seem like they’re getting back together anytime soon.

On Monday, Jackman posted a video to Instagram in which he’s seen shaving off his famous Wolverine sideburns. (Sorry die-hard fans, we guess he really meant it when he said he was done with the role.)

“My wife is going to be very happy. #GoodbyeChops #thedebs,” he captioned the video.

Jackman recently wrapped the final “Wolverine” film, which is set to hit theaters next year.

But if you’re already pining for more of Jackman’s Wolverine, just remember: it’s only a matter of time before a) they make a Wolverine remake with someone else who can grow equally impressive sideburns or b) Jackman decides he really wasn’t done with the character and comes back for another movie (à la Matt Damon and “Jason Bourne”).

Since we know how much Hollywood loves sequels, we’ll be betting on the latter.
