If Family Portraits Were Up To Dad, This Is What They'd Look Like

After divorce, one dad stepped up his family photo game.

Now this is one rad dad.

When Mike Allen decided to take family photos with his 6- and 7-year-old daughters post-divorce, he went all out, asking photographer Chad Braithwaite to stage the kind of portraits he's always wanted.

The family photo above made the front page of Reddit Wednesday, though other takes from the '80s ski fashion-themed photo shoot are just as cool.

Allen, 31, admitted that the girls weren't initially sold on the themed shoot, but they love the finished product.

"They love skiing so they were excited about the props, but before the shoot was a different story," Allen, who lives in Utah, told HuffPost. "Their mom is a photographer and does a lot of traditional photo shoots with them, so they were worried that people were going to laugh at them. I told them that was a good thing!"

It's definitely a good thing. Well done, ladies and dad -- you just put our old, awkward family photos to shame.
