The Internet Can't Get Enough Of This Optimistic Fourth-Grader's TV Interview

He's just SO excited.

This kid’s enthusiasm for the first day of school can’t be beat.

In a segment for FOX 7 Austin, reporter Tania Ortega interviewed fourth-grader Kevin on his first day of school, and his excitement is contagious. During the interview, Kevin said his favorite subjects are math and science because he wants to be a “creator, like inventing stuff.” He also shared his disappointment that his mom won’t let him walk to school or ride a bike without protective gear (Kevin, you should definitely trust your mom on this one).

In the cutest bit, the enthusiastic student explained one of his hopes for the school year: “I’m hoping I can make more friends than just one,” he said.

With that personality, something tells us that won’t be a problem.
