The good thing about Independence Day this year is that it falls on a Friday, which means a long weekend. But, there's a catch. It will be the most expensive 4th of July holiday for drivers since 2008.

In just a few days, 41 million Americans will travel 50 miles or more, 35 percent of them by car, according to AAA.
