Lightning struck an Irish weather forecaster in a shocking spoof Halloween report.

CaitlΓn Nic Aoidh was giving the weather outlook for the Irish-language channel TG4 on Monday night when a fake bolt appeared to blast her off the screen.

The channel then cut the broadcast and displayed an off-screen title card

While clearly an amazing Halloween prank, it did perplex some viewers ― with some wondering whether she’d sustained an electric shock.

What just happened on @TG4TV ?
Did she just get electrocuted or was that a Halloween prank? πŸ‘€πŸŽƒ#TG4 pic.twitter.com/CqMShJjarl

But the main consensus was overwhelmingly positive.
