People from all walks of life often ask me: How do I live a more authentic life? I say we must start by asking ourselves one vital question: WHO AM I TO ME? The answers you provide yourself will assure you, affirm you and allow you to live your truth. I shared part of my path toward a more honest and authentic life on Oprah Winfrey's SuperSoul Sunday and "Super Soul Sessions" for OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network.

"Who am I to me?"

It's the question that journalist and activist Janet Mock asked in an installment of "Super Soul Sessions" on Oprah Winfrey's OWN website. In a clip, published on Wednesday, the host of MSNBC shift's "So Popular!" talked about how walking in your truth can change your life.

Mock made headlines in 2011 when she revealed in a Marie Claire article that she is a trans woman. Since then, she has been an active voice in the trans community, publishing her book "Redefining Realness" in 2014.

"We must have the audacity to turn up the frequency of our truths," Mock said in the video. "As Dorothy learned from Glinda, we have always had the power. It is the world's limitations and the myths that we internalize about ourselves that pushes us to diminish our power and ignore it."
