The world can always count on Ellen DeGeneres to get the scoop on celebrity relationships, even when it’s totally ordinary.
On her show Monday, the talk show host grilled Jennifer Lopez for the details on her relationship with former New York Yankees star Alex Rodriguez. Lopez was reluctant to spill the beans on her personal life, but the audience peer pressure was almost too much.
“You guys don’t wanna hear this,” Lopez told “Ellen” audience members.
They definitely did.
Lopez was sitting out to lunch in Los Angeles when Rodriguez passed by her table. In case you were wondering, like Ellen was, J.Lo was enjoying a Cobb salad and tortilla soup. She made the first move by tapping him on the shoulder and saying hello.
“And then that was it,” Lopez said.
That’s how the story of “Jenny from the Block” and the Bronx Bomber fell in love. Their relationship that shocked the Internet, especially considering Lopez was rumored to be dating rapper Drake only months beforehand. But it seems like the singer was definitely available when Rodriguez asked her out to dinner via text after their chance meeting.
“And then a sleepover?” Ellen asked.
“No. Mama don’t sleepover on the first date,” Lopez clarified for the host.
“OK, so maybe you two will have children?” Ellen asked.
